1. A Nose for Direction!

Dogs love a bit of fuss but I do so wish they were not so enthusiastic in showing their gratitude! I love our four legged friends but am not so keen on their wet noses or their slobbery chops!
Did you know that dogs have a wet nose for a reason; it is how they tell from what which direction a smell is coming!
2. Chinese Magician

You have defeated the hordes of Chinese soldiers, stormed the palace and stand face to face with the emperor himself. What you are probably not now expecting is to come face to face with a miniature mutt!
Believe it or not, in ancient China, it was considered normal for an Emperor to hide a Pekingese dog up his sleeve as a form of defence! Perhaps a dagger would have served them better?
3. Dog Snacks

Have you ever noticed that sometimes dog’s seem to carry an odd odour that could perhaps even be likened to the smell of corn snacks? Well there is a reason!‘Frito Feet’ is the doggy world equivalent of BO. When a dog sweats, it reacts with the bacteria gathering on their paws to release that oddly nutty smell!
4. Clever Clogs

Next time you despair at the seemingly brainless actions of your doggy pal you might want to consider they are not as silly as you think!
Believe it or not, the average dog is at least as smart as a two year old child – they can understand more than 200 words and can even count – all be it only to 5!
5. Cats and Dogs

Now I had always assumed that Hyenas were dogs – they look like dogs, they act like dogs, and therefore they must surely be dogs?
Wrong, in actual fact, Hyenas are more closely related to our feline friends than those lovable bundles of woof!
6. Teddy Bear Phobia

We all love a nice cuddle so it is only natural that we would want to share a quick hug with our beloved four legged friend!
But actually, dogs are not so keen! To a dog, a hug is an act of dominance – so chances are they are probably wishing you wouldn’t do it!
7. Legs Crossed

We often marvel at the amazing intelligence of working dogs but I bet you didn’t know that guide dogs are trained to go to the toilet on command? Better still, male guide dogs are even trained to wee without lifting their leg!
8. The Bear Fact!

I guess you get all sorts of practical jokes at university – but perhaps one of the best I have ever heard was played by Lord Byron!
Being told he would not be allowed to bring his pet pooch with him when attending the Trinity College, Cambridge – he decided to bring a bear instead!
