Sony introduced two new devices in early January, the Z1S and the Z1 Compact; however, neither are Sony’s flagship device for 2014. Most people are waiting for the Xperia Z2, currently codenamed Sirius, which should launch before June.
Design is where Xperia Z products really shine, and Z2 will definitely follow this tradition. The new model will probably keep a similar design and slim things down a little. As for the specs, Z2 will most likely feature a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, full HD display 5.2-inch display, and up to 3GB of RAM. Some reports mention that Sony will also be adding support for 4K video capture.

It is safe to say that LG has seen a return to form in 2013 thanks to the success of their flagship device – LG G2. Now they have plans to release a new smartphone, and make it even more amazing.
If you weren’t impressed with G2’s 1080p display, you’ll be happy to hear that LG G3 will feature a 2560×1440 pixel resolution display. Yes, that is more pixels than most of us have on our monitors. According to some rumors, we might see an octa-core (8 cores) processor powering the device, but this still remains to be seen.

Currently known by its codename, the M8 will be taking over HTC One’s place as a new flagship device for the Taiwanese company. The original One was launched in March of 2013, a few weeks before Samsung released S4, and this year should look similar.
The One represented a turning point for HTC. For the first time in many years HTC was not only equal to Samsung in terms of specs, but also had a better phone, according to many critics.
There are numerous reports that claim display size anywhere from 5 – 5.2 inches, but no one knows for sure at this moment. Many people will be happy to hear that the M8 will most likely include a Micro SD card slot, which will enable users to expand their storage. In terms of design, HTC is definitely bound to stick with a sleek metal look it was praised for.

#1 – Apple iPhone 6

All previously mentioned phones will launch sometime before the summer, and the iPhone 6 is the only device on our list expected to launch in September. Since the release date is so far away, not much is known about Apple’s new smartphone, except that it will most likely be this year’s top seller.
Certain reports from the Wall Street Journal mention a possibility of a 5.7-inch display, but it is highly unlikely that we’ll see such a humongous display from Apple. On the other hand, many expect that the Cupertino-based company will up the display size to 4.5 or 5 inches, since it is the most requested feature from users. Rumors also mention an even better camera, faster processor and better battery life. Not much is known besides that, but it will be interesting to see if the last phone Steve Jobs allegedly worked on will bring something revolutionary to the table.
